Helping The Fulbridge Academy Donate Tents To Refugees In Calais

Yesterday, we took a trip to The Fulbridge Academy, where pupils in Year 5 and 6 had voted that they would like to donate the tents they use for school trips to help refugees in Calais. Unfortunately, they had no way of getting the tents to a charity who could transport them to Calais.

So, we hopped in a car, nipped up the A1, and offered our assistance. We spent the morning talking to the pupils about why they have decided to show such empathy and generosity and took the tents off their hands.

Next week, we will be delivering the tents to a charity who are going to organise the transportation of donations to Calais.

We would like to say a huge thank you to The Fulbridge Academy for their generosity and to the pupils in Year 5 and 6 who so selflessly put the needs of others before their own.
