Jack Petchey Foundation Planners

The Jack Petchey Foundation planners initiative is a funding route that eligible schools can use to reduce the cost of ordering student planners.

The initiative does not introduce a different type of planner.

Planner format, specification, customisation, and production remain unchanged.

The funding applies to the cost of the order only, providing a defined contribution towards an expense schools already incur each academic year.

Funding contribution

For schools that are eligible, the Jack Petchey Foundation planners initiative provides a defined contribution towards planner orders for the academic year.

  • Up to £1,500 available per school
  • £1 per planner contribution for mainstream schools
  • £3 per planner contribution for special schools
  • Funding capped at the £1,500 grant maximum

What the funding covers

The funding contributes towards the overall cost of a student planner order.

It can be applied to:

  • Standard student planners
  • Customised planner orders
  • Whole-school planner purchases

What the funding does not change

The initiative does not create a different type of planner.

The following remain the same:

  • Planner format and layout
  • Customisation options
  • Paper and binding specification
  • Print quality
  • Production and delivery process

Schools receive the same planners they would normally order.

Who the funding applies to

The planners initiative is available to eligible secondary schools and sixth forms in London and Essex.

Eligibility is determined by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

About the Jack Petchey Foundation

The Jack Petchey Foundation is a UK charitable organisation established in 1999. It funds initiatives that support young people aged 11–25 across London and Essex, including education-focused programmes delivered through schools.

The Foundation invests over £10 million each year through grants and partnership programmes.

Schools do not need to be part of the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme to access planner funding. Participation in the scheme may provide access to additional funding opportunities.

More information can be found on the Jack Petchey Foundation website.

How the funding is typically used

Where schools are eligible, the funding is commonly used to offset the cost of an existing annual planner order.

Student planners are ordered in volume on a fixed yearly cycle.
The initiative provides a contribution towards that cost without changing specification or delivery.
